Mauritian Bistro Evening at Lion Rock Tea Rooms in Cheddar
I am a great believer in “believe in oneself and make it happen”….this is exactly what I aim and will continue to do. This time my concept took me completely out of my comfort zone, an experience that I will take with me on my journey…this is how the idea of doing a pop-up super evening happened. When I was asked to do a Bistro Evening at the Award Winning Tea Rooms in the beautiful picturesque Cheddar Gorge I was very excited by the suggestion. This was for me an opportunity to share my love of the food I enjoy cooking and eating.
It was such a pleasure working with such a relaxed kitchen team – Who would say this was just before service? How calm de we look!
As part of my food journey to share the diversity of Mauritian Cuisine this collaboration to host a Mauritian Food Tasting evening was just perfect. As I always say food brings people together and this event was the right way to do that. “Taste of Mauritian Cuisine”
Lion Rock Tea Rooms is one place where we often stop by when we visit Cheddar in Somerset. Sometimes we just stop to have a cup of tea but most of the time to enjoy the most delicious “cream tea” – a place renowned for its cream tea and homemade cakes, scones and bread. Being a gourmet and a good food lover both my husband and I never hesitate to take our families, visiting guests & friends there to savour those delicious treats whenever we visit Cheddar Gorge.
Below are are some of the highlights of a successful evening, the photos says it all. Stopping and chatting to the guests was such a lovely way to end the evening and the feedback was overwhelming.
All the way a very successful evening, and the pleasure of working with such a great team. We aim to meet again, keep in touch and watch out for the next events. Stay connected and visits the Lion Rock Tearooms for its forthcoming Bistro Evening.
